God could you believe that in late 2023 I was, like, excited to write more blog posts? Like, toward New Year's, I was thinking of writing a big blog post about...
I don't remember exactly what, now, because on New Year's Eve I got hit with a big dramatic text wall from someone I no longer speak to with a huge messy "it's not you it's me but I'm going to either on purpose or by accident imply it's your fault we can't be friends anymore by emphasizing how Upset and Torn Apart I am" speech. It was a whole thing.
As you might imagine, the whole ordeal, like. Soured how I felt about not just my website, but, like.
Most of my creative projects.
Which means it's taken quite a while to recover. LMAO
But! I've been better for a long time now, and with an exciting friend meetup looming over my head (I'm literally leaving tomorrow morning!) I felt like I had time to do some site maintenance! So that's what I'm doing.
Here's a rundown of the visible changes made to the site since I started poking around on October 4th:
- Homepage has been refreshed (as you may have seen already)! Page itself has been wider because I think it looks nicer and the info on it has been thrown into a pleasant two-columned table.
- Florim's character page has been overhauled! I'm thinking I wanna have each individual character profile have its own formatting...mostly because it'll be fun, even if it'll be a lot more work. We will see!
- Finally, I made a new playlist page! This one's a character playlist for my bounty hunter/racer Sadr, and also my attempt at figuring out how I want to format character playlists/mixtapes going forward. I'm not entirely satisfied with it, but it's a start, I think!
After I get back from my trip later this month, I wanna take a better look at my music page and bring it up to date...at least update some of the language used because I was like. A scareder person when I first made a lot of these pages and it makes me a little sad to look at.
Also it was really noble of me to format by blog post dates by DD/MM/YY but considering I keep fucking myself up and miswriting the dates on the changelog I'll either have to let myself do MM/DD/YY or go for the infinitely funnier YY/MM/DD LOL. If you have strong feelings about this you can go to the guest book and tell me so.
I'd also like to add more stuff to the Pokémon section of the site (maybe fill out that Buneary link), but for now this is what I've been thinking.
To whoever may be reading this: thank you for checking my website out! It's a little mortifying thinking that people might see what I'm creating, but I love creating enough that I think it evens itself out. I really want to display more of my original content on-site...so please stick with me!
